Detailed disassembly analysis to power pack Model# F1&F1 Plus, ARUNs 2017 new arrivals, by chongdiantou.com a famous E-product evaluation team.

F1 & F1 Plus are two mobile power banks launched on ARUN 2017-new products, as “chongdiantou.com” introduced before. While comparing to the effect from the super star Li Chen, ARUN spoken man, the layout design and the quality of these new arrivals are more interested to the fans, Today “chongdiantou.com” would like to disassemble the power banks and show all the fans what is inside F1 & F1 Plus. 

In addition to the marks on the shell are two different colors, two products look almost exactly the same, said few words, starting with F1 Plus dismantling.

Based on past experience, this type of Assembly process for aluminum alloy body shell is similar, we first output cover to start.

Carefully pry the end cap upon the four captive screws at the output.

Output terminal cover has four buckles are responsible for fixing, not using double sided tape. Press to hot-melt combined with end caps.

To remove the four conventional self tapping screws.

Take the fixed platen; this fixed platen did not have buckle, and can be easily removed.

After you remove the platen, toward the tail gently push out the inner casing.

And different from other the frame designs, like hollow or empty casing, ARUN F1 & F1 Plus inner casing is closed.

Look one extruded aluminum alloy shell, with good thickness, ends in the milling and sink, for end-plate fixing.

There are two captive screws next to the output port in the fully enclosed inner case. Two concave stripes slot is the ridge to an position the internal batteries, which bring some difficult to later dismantling.

Remove the two screws; you can open the cover over the box, no snaps, easily open.

The internal layout is compact and PCB is not fixed by screws at the top, relying on the press from the two screws of the cover plate on the inner box to fix it; below are three 18650 lithium battery.

Batteries are fixed by 704 silica gel, the adhesive by cured silicone 704 is much stronger than double sided tape’s, but due to the obstacles by the internal battery positioning ridged (It is difficult for the disassembling tools to depth), separating the cells took up more time.

The craftsmanship of the PCB layout looks nice.

Main IC is a "familiar face"--the Injoinic IP5318, this is a SOC with good performance, appeared on the variety of mobile power charging from our evaluation, specific performance and parameters, we can refer to the related post. And DW01 lithium battery protective chip is on the far right.

In terms of IO, from left to right are function keys, Micro input, Type-c input and output, conjoined USB-A. The two USB are conjoined and blue plastic core, but only the output on the top could supports QC3.0 fast charge output. The program isn't in high voltage input devices, Micro and Type-C interfaces are useful in 5V mode for charging.

Battery is used the way of PCB welding spot welding of nickel + battery NI to connect the plate. In this way, can get good strength, and can simplify the production line of welding processes.

As a result of the integration SOC chip, greatly simplifying the surrounding components, mainly on the back of the device is four 2030 MOS, with the preceding DW01 to form the lithium battery protective circuit.

The batteries of F1 Plus is from LG F1L, capacity 3350mAh per cell, three cells paralleling, total capacity is 10050mAh. But only shows 10000mAh at the case. 

The nickel plates of the Lithium batteries are connected by auto-machines. Each battery has six points of spot welding. Welding quality seams so-so, because the nickel plate on the left were accidentally broken during the dismantling process.

Circuits are simple; this is all accessories after disassembling.

We use the same method and step to open F1 power bank, a glance, except the battery, seemingly no different with F1 Plus..

The conclusion is both F1 and F1 Plus are exactly the same PCB, components, including plate numbers: F1 Plus V1.0. It appears that both the F1 Plus programmer and the PCB, except different batteries.

F1 uses the Pink sealed 18650 Li- lithium battery, from its printing we can see ZH, it seems it is Zhenhua Lithium battery, but the printing way and information is not same as Zhenhuas, could not confirm whether it is from Zhenhua. The capacity is 2500mAh per cell, 7500mAh in total.


A brief summary


From dismantling, ARUN two new products F1, F1, Plus are used the same circuit. Due to the higher competitive in cost, the IP5318 is widely used, the programmer is more mature. Lithium-ion battery brand and capacity make the same products with different prices; consumers can make more flexible choice.
